Bean Station is a city in Grainger County, Tennessee, United States. It is part of the Morristown, Tennessee Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of July 1, 2006, the United States Census Bureau estimated the population at 3,014; as of the 2010 census, the population had fallen to 2,826.

History

The city was incorporated in 1996. The area was first settled by William Bean, one of, if not the, first permanent white settler in Tennessee. The city is named for the Bean family. In 1776, Robert Bean and William Bean II were the first people to settle in the community.
