Lakeport Plantation, 2008
Lakeport Plantation is the best example of an antebellum plantation house in Arkansas. Built ca. 1859 in the Greek Revival style, the plantation south of Lake Village boomed as cotton prices increased until the end of the Civil War, which devastated the South.
